Uniform Guide
School Uniform Policy 2008/2009
St. Philomena’s has always prided itself upon the smartness of its pupils. All pupils are required to wear the full school uniform. This has always been the case since the school’s foundation. Pupils are renowned for their smart appearance and it is important that the high standards are maintained. We ask therefore, that the children arrive neatly dressed and that they wear their uniform with pride.
Parents are reminded that:-
- No jewellery is permitted (including earring sleepers).
- Hair is brushed neatly. Girls’ long hair to be secured neatly away from the face.
- All clothing to be named and kept in good condition – with lost buttons replaced etc.
- All footwear to be cleaned regularly (including football boots and trainers).

Recommended footwear is available from Start-Rite stockists and also "Stompers", High Street, Colchester, or "If The Shoe Fits", Rosemary Road, Clacton.
Unless otherwise stated, all items of uniform are available from Ernest Newson & Son Ltd., Rosemary Road, Clacton.
